Dental implants offered by Famidental – titanium alternative to conventional dentures!
Smiling is crucial when making new friends – it affects the way people see us and make them decide if we are cheerful or not. It also creates the first impression. Modern dentistry is capable of dealing with unpleasant or unsightly effects of our bad habits, malnutrition or the natural impact of time. Dental implants offered by Famidental are the best example of its powerful capacities – they are used to reconstruct the missing teeth as a treatment of choice and as an alternative to conventional prosthetic solutions.
Dental implants stand for intraosseous, resistant and lightweight implants made of biocompatible titanium which are covered with special surface facilitating the integration of the implant with the bone. Contrary to traditional dental prosthesis, the implant replaces both the crown and the root of a tooth, which prevents the bone loss in the edentulous area. The implants are the alternative to conventional prosthodontics which is based on crowns and bridges and requires the abrasion of healthy teeth. In consequence, the tooth structure weakens and it becomes more vulnerable to decay and to eventual tooth loss. The implants boost the aesthetics of both smile and face.
The course of implant treatment in Famidental
Implant treatment requires a two-step process. The first step consists of grafting the implant replacing the tooth root into the bone of the upper or of the lower jaw. The next step takes place after a few months of waiting, depending on how fast the implant integrates with the bone tissue, and it consists of the prosthetic reconstruction of the tooth – this is when a crown, a bridge or a denture is placed onto the implant.
Famidental is equipped with the necessary devices enabling us to get full diagnostics, in particular with computer-assisted tomography that offers dental 3D scans. Dental implant procedure is minimally invasive, it is performed under local anaesthesia, and it does not cause much discomfort. In some patients, when there is too little volume of bone for immediate implantation, we carry out additional augmentation (reconstruction) procedures, such as guided bone regeneration or maxillary sinus lift.
